We offer industrial-grade SSDs in various form factors and with different interfaces:
SATA SSD
We have SSDs with M.2, mSATA or 2.5 inch form factors with SATA III interface in our portfolio . CFast is also often used as a SATA SSD.
PCIe NVMe SSD
Usually available as an M.2 form factor, but also as a U.2 NVMe SSD (with up to 16TB) in a 2.5 inch housing.
Specifications
- Fixed BOM (Bill of Material): the components are fixed
- Long-term availability
- High-quality SLC, pSLC or TLC NAND flash
- Industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- PowerProtector: data is protected in the event of a power failure
- Custom design: SSDs can be customised based on customer requirements
Wear Leveling
NAND flash cells are arranged in pages and blocks. Data is written to pages, but the smallest unit for erasing is a block. Due to the nature of flash, the cells wear out with each program/erase (P/E) cycle, meaning that the flash memory can only be used for a limited period of time.
Wear levelling mechanisms enable the SSD to distribute the P/E cycles evenly across all blocks. This prevents the premature wear of overused blocks so that all blocks can be utilised to the maximum. Wear levelling extends service life and improves reliability and durability of the hard drive.
Certifications
CE certification: mandatory for all products sold in the EU. Fulfils all EU-wide requirements for safety, health protection and environmental protection.
FCC certification: FCC certification of the components is required for approval of end devices in the USA.
BSMI approval: for sale in or to Taiwan, or for certain locally manufactured products.
UKCA compliance: this product labelling is required for products placed on the UK market.
RoHS & REACH: our products comply with both the RoHS Directive and the REACH Regulation.
Fixed Bill Of Components
The industrial products in our portfolio have a fixed BOM. This means that all components of a specific part number are set, which ensures compatibility for repeat orders after evaluation.
The firmware version can also be fixed after qualification for 100% compatibility.
Thanks to the fixed BOM, the number of re-qualifications is reduced to a minimum. Changes to the product are less frequent and are announced well in advance. There is sufficient time to place last-time orders and to qualify a successor product.
In the event of complete end of life, term extensions can be agreed if necessary.
