Industrial USB Stick

UFD (USB Flash Drives) or industrial grade USB sticks are particularly suitable for use in extreme conditions. The SiP (system-in-package) process protects all components, and the USB stick is extremely robust against all external influences. Industrial USB sticks have a considerably longer service life and longer data retention than consumer-gradeUSB drives, and are therefore particularly favoured in areas of application such as the medical sector, IPC or automation.

SLC USB Sticks

USB sticks with single-level cell (SLC) technology use only one data value per memory cell instead of several bits per cell as with MLC or TLC. SLC USB sticks have a significantly longer service life and offer improved read/write performance compared to MLC or TLC USB sticks.
pSLC USB sticks are based on MLC or TLC NAND flash; however, the cells are addressed as if they were SLC NAND, i.e. with only one bit per cell. As a result, USB sticks using pSLC technology have a very long service life, almost achieving the same endurance as SLC USB sticks, at a significantly lower price.

Extended temperature range

USB sticks with extended temperature range support operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C (instead of 0°C to 70°C). These USB sticks are suitable for industrial applications where the ambient temperature can fall below 0°C. On the other hand, USB sticks with extended temperature range can be reliably used in fanless systems, for example, where the temperature can climb above 70°C.

Advanced Wear-Leveling

When data is saved or deleted on a USB stick, this can lead to uneven wear on the memory cells, which can cause the device to fail prematurely.
With ‘advanced wear levelling’, the wear caused by read and write operations is distributed evenly across all memory blocks.
This mechanism brings the following advantages:

  1. Extended service life
  2. Improved reliability
  3. Optimised performance
  4. More efficient utilisation of the memory

Industrial USB sticks with logo

Our USB sticks can be customized with a special laser engraving or print. We are happy to provide our industrial USB flash drives with a customized logo or lettering on request. Depending on the desired colours and housing, the following options are available:

  • USB flash drives with metal housing: laser engraving
  • USB flash drives with plastic housing: pad printing or screen printing

The customisation offer is subject to a minimum order quantity, which varies depending on the product.
