    The ATP CFast card is the ideal substitute to Compact Flash cards. It is completely compatible with CFA CFast specifications version 2.0. ATP's CFast with PowerProtector technology guarantees reliable operation even with frequent power outages or voltage fluctuations. The SLC NAND flash and the Global Wear Leveling Technology makes the CFast card specifically long lasting.

    The CFast cards are available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB (SLC), and in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB (MLC).

    S.M.A.R.T Life Monitor

    The ATP S.M.A.R.T Life Monitor (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a tool which makes it possible to see the actual state of the CFast. So it shows you for example the remaining write-/delete- cycles or indicate the Raw Read Error Rate and supervises the wear. This information helps to estimate the probability of a disc drive fall out and if necessary save the data in time and replace the CFast.

    PowerProtector

    The PowerProtector prevents you from any data-loss or writing-mistakes who could appear during a power failure. This standalone solution holds enough power to compensate any voltage variations, makes it independent from Controller and Firmware, and is also insensitive to temperature fluctuations.

    Advanced Wear Leveling

    This function aims at extending memory cards life expectancy. ATP Advanced Wear Leveling treats and manages all NAND Flash components in ONE drive as one unified memory management unit. Endurance is further improved when the total density increases (more spare space for spare blocks). Advanced Wear Leveling maps host device's logical addresses into NAND Flash physical addresses equally and randomly.

    NAND Flash: SLC vs. MLC

    SLC (Single Level Cell) and MLC (Multi Level Cell) are both NAND-based memory technologies. They refer to the structure of Flash memory cells and how many bits each cell can store. SLC NAND stores one bit per cell while MLC NAND stores two bits per cell. The SLC NAND Flash is therefore more reliable: higher durability (number of read and write cycles), faster, power saving.

    MLC (Multi Level Cell) NAND Flash has a lower manufacturing cost versus SLC NAND. It stores more than 1 bit in one cell, which makes it very attractive (higher density for less money). Its durability and reliability are not as high as for SLC. MLC-based products are recommended for price-sensitive industrial projects.
